Registration for Summer Reading Program
Underway at Kingston Public Library

Registration for the 2008 Summer Reading program at the Kingston Public Library is underway.  Children from the ages of 12 and under have now until June 25 to sign up for an exciting four weeks of reading, arts and crafts, and special guests. This year’s program, entitled Outerspace will be begin June 25 and will feature acclaimed storyteller Elizabeth Rose.  On July 9 magician Ron Mayhem will be on hand with several of his special assistants; on July 16 Dr. David Fields will assist children in discovering the stars with a daytime telescope; and on July 19 will have opportunity to visit the Roane State Community College observatory.  Also on the 19th author Marilyn Randall will be reading several of her well known children’s books. Ms. Randall will also have a number of her books on hand for purchase.
    All the programs are free to the public. For more information about the summer program, either come by the library or call 865-376-9905.
    The first program is set to get underway Wednesday, August 27.
